- In order to explain the coupling and coordination mechanism of land use benefits and urbanization in Xi'an City, and to clarify the degree of coupling and coordination between the two, we calculated the evaluation index of land use benefit and urbanization level, the coupling coordination degree and gray correlation degree, and analyzed the coordinating and developing relationship and the interaction degree by constructing an index system and evaluation model of land use benefit and urbanization level. The results showed that:(1)land use benefit index, urbanization index and comprehensive evaluation index in Xi'an City were increasing year by year from 2005 to 2015; the two promoted each other in development process, and the land use benefit index grew slightly faster than the urbanization index;(2)the coupling and coordination degree between land use benefit and urbanization was increasing year by year, and the coupling and coordination phase was finally transformed from the imbalanced and declining phase to the coordinated development phase; the coupling coordination state changed from near imbalance to great coordination, and the coordinated development of the two was closer;(3)there was a mutual influence between land use benefits and urbanization level; economic benefits and ecological benefits had a higher impact on urbanization level; economic, ecological, social and educational urbanization had important impacts on land use benefits;(4)land use benefits and urbanization were two mutually beneficial and closely related coordinated development systems; promoting the continuous development of the economy, society, and ecological environmental protection should be strengthened and urban land use should be rationally planned to achieve coordinated development of land use benefits and urbanization.
