摘要:: 在Arcview、Arc/info等GIS软件的支持下，我们利用2000年秋季的TM影像对毛乌素沙地的荒漠化情况进行遥感监测，监测面积为8.137×10⁴ km²。2000年毛乌素沙地的荒漠化类型包括沙漠化、水土流失和盐碱化，共有荒漠化土地6.311×10⁴ km²，占区域总面积的77.56%，其中沙漠化面积5.081×10⁴ km²，水土流失面积1.190×10⁴ km²，盐碱化0.404×10⁴ km²，分别占荒漠化土地总面积的80.51%，18.85%，0.64%和区域总面积的62.44%，14.62%和0.5%。

Abstract:: Supported by GIS softwares, such as Arcview, Arc/info etc., the status of desertification in Maowusu sandy land was monitored by use of TM images in 2000, and 8.137×10⁴ km² of land was covered.In 2000, desertification includes sandy desertification, water erosion and salinization in Maowusu sandy land and there is totally 6.311×10⁴ km² of desertified land, accounting for 77.56% of the total area.Area of sandy desertified land, water eroded land and salinized land is 5.081×10⁴ km², 1.190×10⁴ km² and 0.404×10⁴ km² respectively, occupying 80.51%, 18.85% and 0.64% of total desertified land and 62.44%, 14.62% and 0.5% of the total area separately.
