Since 1980, GIS has been applied into the domain of soil and water conservation in China. By support of GIS and RS, this paper took the high-resolution aerial images (0.38 m), the rainfall data from 13 stations for 62 years which covers 200 km range of this region, DEM (5 m) and soil type map of Gushanchuan watershed, combined with characteristics of this study area, figured out the soil loss modules quantitatively with the CSLE model and graded it by the standard. Based on the results, we had conducted spatial analysis. The results showed that soil erosion of Gushanchuan watershed amounted to 2 748.9 thousand tons in 2012 and the average soil erosion modules was 2 161.06 t/(km2·a), the area proportion of soil erosion decreased from slight to dramatic level. By analyzing, the soil erosion modules increased dramatically with the decrease of vegetation coverage and the increase of slope; in addition, the benefits of soil and water conservation of the land use types like bare land or wild grassland and so on were poor, and the average soil erosion modules of these land types was dramatically higher than that of this region.
