According to the Penman-Monteith formula recommended by FAO and method of single crop coefficient, based on the meteorological data of 2009—2012, evapotranspiration of phragmites communis in full reproductive period in constructed wetlands in Shifosi and the evapotranspiration of average for many years were calculated. The correlation was used to test the development trend of reed evapotranspiration for many years, the linear equation was fixed. The results show that the actual evapotranspiration of reeds showed a decreasing trend year by year, and the actual average monthly evapotranspiration for many years is 142.4 mm in May, 149 mm in June and 138.1 mm in July, 120.9 mm and 83.1 mm in August and September, respectively. Correlation analysis showed that the influence factors of reed evapotranspiration were the average net radiation, temperature, wind speed and relative humidity. The water consumption of reeds in the whole stages was studied in this paper, which can provide the basis for the regional irrigation and wetland ecological water requirement of phragmites communis.
