With the in-depth study on global change, the interaction research between land use/cover change and hydrological processes has been the focus of attention and the international frontier of global environmental and ecological research. The influencing characteristics of land use/cover change on hydrological processes was expounded. On the basis, the researches about hydrological response to LUCC were reviewed, including the progress, study methods, and simulation scale. Some conclusions were drawn as follows. Due to different region climatic conditions, geographic locations, study scale and methods, hydrological effect of LUCC in specific basin showed as certain difference. Therefore, various factors need to be considered comprehensively, and the impacts of watershed land use/cover change on hydrological processes should be correctly evaluated. Besides, the eco-environment effect should be strengthened so as to provide scientific evidences for land use planning and rational allocation of water resources.
