Using the statistical method, the influence of land utilization change on the soil nutrient is studied in Chongqing Changshou County Daijiagou small basin. The results showed that slope farmland altered to other land use types after three years of small watershed comprehensive control. Soil organic matter showed an increase of 9.2%, total N, P, K, alkaline hydrolysis N, available P, available K increased by 12.9%, 0.7%, 5.2%, 42.9%, 12.8% and 9.9% respectively. Returning farmland to forest and grassland, terracing and other control measures not only changed land cover, micro-topography, control of soil erosion and land degradation, but also improve the soil nutrients to some extent. In particular, the increase of soil organic matter obviously changed the soil structure, effectivly controlled soil erosion and improved the soil quality.
