Abstract:: In order to research the effect of Helvetic soil sealant (G soil sealant for short) on conserving soil water and improving the growth of ornamental forest tree,the benefits of using 4%G soil sealant with different spraying amounts were tested in sandy area,Yanchi county,chosen robinia hosqida (robinia pseudoacacia var.decaisneana) which have the ornamental and ecological value.The results indicted that G soil sealant can control soil water loss,increase soil water content and advance growth and development of the plants.The spraying amounts is more,the soil water content is higher.But,when it rise to somewhat,will had adverse effect.So,12L/m² (C₆) is the best.Compared with CK,it increased soil water content with 48%.
