The chemical characteristics of groundwater are analyzed by the method of statistics based on the results of chemical properties in Yutian Oasis. The important ions which affect the groundwater-quality are selected. They are bicarbonate, sodium, potassium and chlorine. The quality of the groundwater is alkaline, slightly hard to ultra-hard. Fresh, and slight to neutral mineral water are found in the research area. There are two kinds of water in the research area which are fresh to weak mineral sodium bicarbonate water and slight to neutral mineral sodium bicarbonate water. The principal components analysis model, and the regression analysis model for Total Dissolved Solid and content of ions have been set up.
