- Abstract:
- This article analyzes the changes of Xuchang land use in 1985, 1995, 2000. It shows the phenomenon of Xuchang’s LUCC that dry land areas sharply decrease, construction areas sharply increase and grassland and woodland changes in volatility. Finally, the city of Xuchang should strengthen land-use planning and land management, optimize the structure of the land, strengthen education for sustainable development and the dynamical monitoring measures to make Xuchang’s LUCC move toward the sustainable development path.
