Abstract:: Based on hydrological runoff data and other related statistic references in the last 45 years, the methods of rational calculation and qualitative analysis are applied to analyze the feature of runoff and its wastage of the middle part in Tarim river. And also a mutuality analysis between runoff quantity wastage and runoff quantity is done. Analysis shows: in the last 45 years, the runoff quantity is visible reduced and its wastage is high but keeps stabilization. The middle part’s runoff quantity wastage is so huge that it is the most in all parts of Tarim river; and the runoff quantity wastage and the runoff quantity keeps visible positive mutuality in 45 years.
