The erosion of slump gully is a peculiar form soil and water loss in red soil region in southern China. The situation of disaster of slump gully is less serious than coast and debris flow. Accelerating the research and control of slump gully erosion becomes the most important part of soil and water conservation in red soil region of southern China. From the point of study on the distribution of slump gully and the erosive procession, this paper summarizes the erosive control models, comprehensive control models and exploitative models of slump gully. Furthermore, this paper analyzes the structure and function of these control paradigms, which will provides scientific basis for erosive control of slump gully in red soil region of southern China.
