The practice of land consolidation planning has been playing a role in protecting diminishing arable land since 1990,and to some extent lowered the pressure between human and land with per capita arable land decline.And government has been attaching importance to land consolidation.There were a number of studies on problems of benefit and positive and negative effect of land consolidation in different hands by many researchers of academia.It was reviewed that various points and opinions about cultivated land change,eco-environmental diversification and land possession adjustment.The objective of this paper is to analyze the connotation and characteristics of response of human-land system to land consolidation.Then it was discussed the science attitude to cultivated land quantity,ecology theory of land consolidation planning,planning thoughts of land consolidation,arranging turns in temporal sequence; and constructing models of land consolidation and so on.At last,some constructive suggestions were put forward in this paper.
