Environmental Kuznets Curve (EKC) is the measurement model which described the relation between economic development and environmental pollution level.It is commonly used to describe and analyze the relationship between economic development and the level of environmental pollution.According to the basic theory of environmental Kuznets curve,we chose the data of industrial ‘three wastes’ of Shandong province in the period of 1988-2005 as environmental indicators and per capita GDP as economy development,building the quadratic model and finding that the relation of economic development and environmental pollution in Shandong province does not conform to the typical shape of EKC.The waste gas EKC takes the shape of ‘U plus inverted U’,and the simulated calculation values of its two turning points are 3 416 yuan and 24 404 yuan respectively.The curves of waste water and solid waste are both taking the shape of the left half part of inverted U,in which,the turning point of solid waste is 36 075 yuan that has not reached its turning points yet.
