Through continuous monitoring vegetation biomass and demoted biomass in 13 typical desertland sampling plot in sanjingyuan region, the fact was found that the quantity of both desertland vegetation biomass and demoted biomass in 2006 is less than that 2005. The main reason is come from climate change. The study indicates that annual average temperature rises from 0.2℃ to 1.0℃, annual average the evaporation increases from 54mm to 334 mm and annual average precipitation reduces from 60.7 mm to 164.5 mm, in 2006 than that 2005. Finally some countermeasures are put up for prevention and protection of desertland trends in sanjiangyuan region.
