To improve the coordination and restoration ability of the upwind and downwind ecological service functions of the wind domain ecosystem, based on revised wind erosion equation(RWEQ)and GIS technology, combined with wind direction, wind speed and soil dust composition, the radiation effect of sand-fixing function after the second phase of sand control project in Northwest Liaoning Province was evaluated and analysed. The functions of the sand-fixing of wind domain ecosystems in Northwest Liaoning Province have spatial and regional differences due to the influence of climate, vegetation coverage, soil types, human activities, and the overall distribution pattern is stronger in the north and south, and weaker in the central region. The amount of sand-fixing in the study area was 3.754×107 t, the capacity of sand-fixing was 824.35 t/km2, the furthest distance affected by radiation effect is 1 250 km, the total area of the radiation area is 37.26 km2, which is 8.18 times of the study area itself. The amount of sand in the downwind area was reduced 1.877×107 t. Yanbian Korean Autonomous Prefecture experienced the largest radiation effect, with a reduction of 2.03×106 t of dust, accounting for 10.82% of the total effect. Yichun City experienced the least radiation effect, with a decrease of 1.1×103 t of dust, accounting for 0.005% of the total effect. In conclusion, there are obvious differences in the spatial distribution of sand-fixing functions in Northwest Liaoning, and the function of sand-fixing of wind region ecosystems has a strong radiation effect.
