Maintenance of ecological security pattern is important for the maintenance and improvement of the ecological environment, and has an important role to support sustainable economic and social development. Ecological protection red line is the basic framework and the key component of ecological security pattern, the delineation of the red line has contributed to protect the ecological security. In order to study the spatial pattern of ecological security pattern in Shanxi Province, combining with the current situation of ecological environment in Shanxi province, we used the evaluation ecosystem service function of water conservation, soil erosion, biodiversity maintenance, windbreak and sand fixation, and the ecological sensitivity of soil and water loss, land desertification to delineate ecological protection red line, used the minimum cumulative resistance algorithm to determine the source-ecological protection red line and buffer zone, ecological corridor, radiation channel and strategic nodes to identify ecological security pattern. Above all, classification of ecological security in the study area, the ecological security will be divided into the pattern of high level security, low level security and the lowest standard level security, the proportions of the areas were 24.45%, 25.66% and 30.24%, respectively. It is important to highlight the distribution of ecological security pattern in Shanxi Province, which is of great significance to ensure the integrity of the ecosystem and the importance of ecosystem services.
