To reveal the land use structure change on the influence of typical oasis in arid areas county in Xinjiang, we take the Zepu County of Xinjiang as the research object, construct the comprehensive ecological risk index (ERI) and spatial interpolation under the technical support of ArcGIS, in 2006 and in 2013 of remote sensing images and data of land use as the source, analyze Zepu county ecological risk of land use dynamic evolution and the spatial differentiation characteristics. The results show that:(1) from 2006 to 2013, other land and forest land areas of Zepu County showed the decreasing trend, the other land area decreased by 1 072.95 hm2, woodland area decreased by 165.8 hm2, grassland area was almost unchanged, arable land and construction land increased by 183.56 hm2 and 1069.66 hm2, respectively; (2) the ecological risk index rose from 0.088 in 2006 to 0.112 in 2013. To sum up, ecological environment deteriorated during the period from 2006 to 2013 in the study area.
