Variance analysis and factor analysis were used to reveal effects of mining subsidence on soil carbon storage in Daliuta mining area. The results showed that: (1) at different soil depths, soil carbon storages had no significant difference (p < 0.05), but significantly different in spatial distribution; (2) at different slope positions, both in control area and subsidence area, carbon storages showed the same pattern: slope bottom > slope middle > slope top, mining subsidence had the great impact on soil carbon storage of slope bottom according to variance analysis(p < 0.05); (3) in coal mining subsidence, soil carbon storage was positively related to soil porosity, total nitrogen, and soil organic matter, respectively, with the correlation coefficients: 0.943, 0.864 and 0.967 (p < 0.01), and the dominant factors were soil organic matter and soil porosity.
