Soil respiration is not only an important circulation route in global carbon cycle but also the largest CO2 release source in terrestrial ecosystem, so it is a common focus of attention in the field of the carbon cycle study. Soil respiration is a process of interaction between the biological and ambient soil. The soil can be regarded as an ecological system, and understanding the impact of the soil ecosystem inside biological and environmental factors, interaction, and the impact of the carbon dioxide emissions of the system has a very important significance. In order to describe the main factors affecting soil respiration, such as soil temperature, soil moisture, soil organic matter and nitrogen, biological factors, human activities, etc., the relationship between soil respiration factors was summarized, and the future development of soil respiration was prospected.
