The content and distribution characteristics of soil heavy metals such as Cu, Cr, Cd, Zn, Pb, As in Daqing Longfeng wetlands were investigated. The results showed that the average contents of Cu, Cr, Cd, Zn, Pb and As in top soil of 0—10 cm depth had significant changes in the horizontal distribution, the average contents of these soil heavy metals were lower than those in Songnen Plain except Cr and Zn. In the soil profile, the contents of Cu, Cr, Cd and As gradually declined, while the contents of Pb and Zn increased first and then decreased with the increase of soil depth, there was great relationship between the physical and chemical properties of the soil in the region, the parent soil, rock weathering and leaching. Among the five heavy metal elements (Cu, Cd, Zn, Pb and As), there was no significant relationship between Cu and As, but significant positive correlation existed among the rest heavy metal elements, while Cr had only a significant positive correlation with Cu, and did not exhibit a significant correlation between the other heavy metal elements. Therefore, it was speculated that Cu, Cd, Zn, Pb, As may originate from the same source, and present the symbiotic combination, and Cr was mainly influenced by the surrounding complex environment of wetlands and human random factors.
