In order to scientifically evaluate the benefits generated by the implementation of the rural land remediation projects, the evaluation system was built. It was made up of three social indices, three economic indices and four ecological environment indices. And the values of these indices were calculated based on energy analysis method, then an empirical research was carried out by the example of the piedmont plain of the Taihang Mountains. The results showed that energy analysis method offered new ideas and methods for the evaluation system; after the implementation of the project, the comprehensive benefits were improved in the five selected project areas compared to the previous ones; the horizontal comparison among them also fully illustrated the applicability and flexibility of the energy analysis method in this area. The benefit evaluation after the implementation of the remediation project can provide a scientific basis for government decision-making and achieve the porpose of harmonic and uniform development.
