Payment for ecosystem service has received much attention in recent years, and priority sequence of regional ecological compensation is an important part for balancing and coordinating regional development. Ecosystem service value was evaluated by using the Landsat TM data obtained in 2007 on the economic circle of Hefei City, the provincial capital of Anhui Province. The results showed: (1) the non-market value of ecological service was the highest in Lu’an City, and the descending order for priority sequence of regional ecological compensation was as follows: Lu’an, Chaohu, Tongcheng, Huainan and Hefei City; (2) on the level of city scale, Lu’an City was high in ecological output but low in economic development, and it had the highest priority level and should get the first compensation in the City Ecology Circle in Anhui Province, and Hefei City was high in ecological consumption and economic development, and it should firstly provide compensation; (3) the differences of non-market service value per unit area and priority sequence of regional ecological compensation were marked among all the 15 counties and urban areas, and the priority sequence of regional ecological compensation was the highest in Jinzhai County and Huoshan County. This study can provide the scientific basis for sustainable development in the City Ecology Circle in Anhui Province.
