In order to explore the impact of forest ages on the physicochemical characteristics of soil under pinus tabulaeformis plantation and compare the variation characteristics of the soil physicochemical characteristics under pinus tabulaeformis plantation of different forest age, typical sample zones were set in Shangluo in this study. The combination method of field investigation and laboratory analysis was adopted. The results showed that organic matter, total nitrogen and pH value reduced with the increase of the forest age among the soil depth of 0-20 cm and 20-40 cm. The other physical and chemical parameters also changed, but did not show obvious increase or decrease. Total nitrogen and pH value reduced with the increase of the forest age among the soil depth of 40-60 cm. Correlation analysis showed that there was a positive correlation between organic matter, total nitrogen and pH value, while an extremely significant correlation between total nitrogen and pH value was observed. There was no significantly correlation between the other physical and chemical propterties.
