According to hydrological data, using ‘Hydrology method’ and ‘soil and water conservation method’ made a more comprehensive calculation and analysis on Benefits of Flood & Sediment Reduction of Soil and Water Conservation Measures during 1970-2002 in Dali River Basin. Dali River Basin in the 20th century 70, 80, 90 era of rainfall, runoff and sediment discharge decreased gradually, maximum reduction was in 1980s, and 1970s, 1990s close. 2000-2002 precipitation and flood season precipitation compared with the base period increased 8.0% and 9.3%, but runoff, sediment is still decreasing. The results of ‘Hydrology method’ show that 1970-2002 Dali River Basin totally reduce 1.011 45×109 m3 flood, an average annual reduction of flood was 3.065×107 m3, soil and water conservation average annual reduction of flood 2.37×107 m3, accounting for 77.2% of the total flood reduction, accounting for 25.2% of average annual flood reduction; total of sediment reduction 8.448×108 t, annual sediment reduction 2.56×107 t, including soil and water conservation annual sediment reduction 1.94×107 t, of the total sediment reduction of 75.8%, 37.6% of annual sediment reduction benefit. The results of ‘soil and water conservation method’ show that 1970-2002 Dali River Basin totally reduce 7.524×108 m3 flood, an average annual reduction of flood was 2.28×107 m3, accounting for 24.5% of average annual flood reduction; total of soil and water conservation sediment reduction 6.138×108 t, annual sediment reduction 1.86×108 t, accounting for 36.6% of annual sediment reduction benefit. Recent soil and water conservation flood and sediment reduction benefits are remarkable, and flood and sediment reduction in chronological decline.
