With the support of geo-statistics and geographic information systems,the spatial interpolation research on precipitation in the middle part of the Loess Plateau was carried out through using a variety of interpolation methods.The following preliminary conclusions can be gained.The geo-statistical method is better than the traditional inverse distance weighted interpolation and radial basis function interpolation method,and interpolation was implemented with a compared stable relative error in the meteorological stations of different numbers.Through spatial interpolation in the Loess Plateau,a rainfall distribution map can be made,depicting that the overall rainfall in the middle of the Loess Plateau turns on the trend of low in northwest and high in southeast,and the boundaries are obvious.
