Using fixed-point dynamic monitoring methods, soil water was studied during the process of cultivated vegetation succession on the Huaguo mountain area in spring. The results showed that: The soil moisture increased significantly in May. The soil moisture in slope grassland was the best. Coniferous forest and economic forest soil moisture conditions were better. Caragana shrub soil moisture conditions was in general, Robinia pseudoacacia was the worst of all. The coefficient can reflect a law that the soil moisture in north-slope was better than that in south-slope. The change of soil moisture in different vegetation density was obvious. The vegetation density was moderate in the Loess Gully Hill Area. The soil moisture content of different depths was different. The surface was better than the bottom. The variability of surface soil moisture was the greatest, and then decreases, and to essentially unchanged.
