The effects of slope positions and directions and years on fertility properties of ecological protected-slopes in Huanglongtan hydropower station was studied through field sampling and indoor determination. The results showed that among three positions(upper slope, middle slope, lower slope),the lower slope had the best physical composition and higher nutrition level, while the effects of directions on the content of oganic matter and available phosphorus and available nitrogen were very significant(P<0.01).Other than bulk density, the indicators of shady slope were better than sunny slope, while soil water content and pH had very notable difference(P<0.01).The effects of years on the content of soil total phosphorus and available kalium were very conspicuous(P<0.01).The correlation analysis showed that there were correlalative relations between substrate physical indicators and nutrient factors, which indicated that soil composition and nutrient accumulation interacted each other.
