The Baodongyu catchment in red soil hilly region of Southern China was selected as the study site. Under the support of spatial analysis and hydrological analysis module of ArcGIS, the research discussed the quantitative relationship between conflux threshold value and densities of conflux network using DEM with different resolving power. The result showed that there is a quantitative relationship between conflux threshold value and densities of conflux network, which can be expressed by a formula. And the parameters b presented on a change trend with the precision of DEM. The research put forward a good approach of computing conflux network density based on raster number, which could be effectively used to determine drainage structure.
