Other than conservation tillage, conservation agriculture is a new ideaistic revolution in the development history of world agriculture. This paper summarized the concept and characteristics of conservation agriculture, expounded the newest study progresses in conservation agriculture and soil quality, according to the development of studies on soil quality both at home and abroad, and proposed the development orientation of conservation agriculture in China.
