Using linear programming method into a small valley land planning in Danjiangkou Reservoir zones, the rational allocation of resources is achieved for maximum effectiveness. Through solving this linear model, reasonable answers can be gotten, that is arable land area of 203.26 hm2, woodland area of 1 700.37 hm2, ecological forest area of 24.93 hm2, economic forest area of 41.75 hm2, non-production sites 51.06 hm2, the sloping staircase 29.2 hm2 and ecological restoration 829.03 hm2 respestively.
