- Ecosystem health is the foundation of sustainable development on regional ecosystem in rocky desertification area and regional environment. The paper introduces the principles, indexes and methods about ecosystem health assessment in rocky desertification area based on analyzing the cause of rocky desertification, combining sustainable development theory with ecosystem health assessment. Moreover, it provided the reference for researching the rocky desertification further.
