Abstract:: The countryside settlements in southwest (Karst) mountains appear the phenomenon of ‘thousand villages like the same one’.In the new village developments,traditional settlements,which have special characters,tend to disappear.On the basis of detailing problems of Country’s Settlement Landscape in Southwest (Karst) Mountain,using Landscape Ecology and System Theory,the text puts forward the aim and principles for the development of settling landscapes.Moreover,the text takes the area of Anshun city as an example,it puts forward three approaches to build countryside settlements in Southwest (Karst) mountains.Hoping this can offer advices for sustainable development of settlement landscapes in southwest (Karst) mountains area.
