The ecological benefits of twenty years old Pinus tabulaeformis and forty years old Betula platyphylla were analyzed. The results indicate that P.tabulaeformis plantation’s power of regulate temperature was bigger than that of B.platyphylla, but soil temperature less than B.platyphylla.The soil non-capillary porosity of B.platyphylla was high than that of P.tabulaeformis, and B.platyphylla litter decomposition speed,so porosity and nutrient conditions than P.tabulaeformis.The Betula platyphylla’s unit litter water holding capacity was larger than P.tabulaeformis, but P.tabulaeformis litter is plenty,so P.tabulaeformis water holding capacity was better than B.platyphylla.
