Using TM image in 1988 and ETM+ image in 2003 and based on NDVI,this article analyzes dynamic changes about vegetation cover of Miyi county from 1988 to 2003 with the help of GIS.The result shows that there is close relationship between changes about vegetation cover and human activities and natural factors.Storing water in Ertan reservoir has significant influence on ecological environment changes and vegetation cover changes.The method that analyzes dynamic changes about vegetation cover in reservoir area can provides important reference and model for review appraisal on ecological environment influence which will be brought about by water and electricity development.
