Conversion the land to forestry is one of the most important ways for protecting the ecosystem environment and soil and water conservation.GIS can provide important and real-time parameters of land-use and relief, and the visualization will be obtained by GIS.This paper discusses the theory of GIS spatial analysis and application in the plan and enforcement of conversion the land to forestry. The scientific evidence and information of project plan have been obtained by ArcView GIS,which is helpful for conversion the land to forestry project.
