Yanqing county is located in the northwest of Beijing, belongs to the watersheds of Yongding river, Chaobai river and Beiyun river. It has two main rivers which are Guishui and Baihe. It is the ecological screen and headwater region of Beijing.Because of the fragmental landform, complicated geomorphologic types, rather large relative height, soil and water erosion of Yanqing county is serious.Getting through some monitoring means such as remote sensing, built runoff-plots, bayonet station of channel to observe and analyze the rainfall, runoff, silt and the total phosphorus, total nitrogen, CODMn of the runoff in the whole county, and then we can analyze the benefits of the soil and water conservation measures, provide better service for man-aging the soil and water loss, protecting headwater, developing economy, implementing the sustainable development of the economy and society of Yanqing county.
