Human’s impct of soil erosion, existing situation of water control and harnssing evaluation on the Shenmu experimental area have been analysed in this paper. Different soil and water conservation measures have been comprehensively evaluated. Benefits of reducing runoff and sedinent of forest and grass, and engineering measures have been estimated. The existing problems of watershed control have been pointed out.
