- Abstract:

Jiangsu province put forward the new policy of ‘priority of environmental protection’,which gave the priority to environmental protection during economic and social development.This paper firstly took the EKC model as a guide,explored the relationship between the environment and economic development in Jiangsu province,the conclusion was that:the industrial emissions and volume of solid waste in Jiangsu province were in the rising phase of the ‘inverted U-type’ and ‘U-type’ EKC,emissions of industrial wastewater were in a slow growth with the economic development,comprehensive environmental pollution situation were in the state of deterioration with the economic growth.Secondly,with the use of gray relative analysis method,this paper studied the internal causes of the relationship,results showed that:the main factors which impact of environmental changes in Jiangsu province included industrial structure,technological development of environmental protection,international trade,environmental protection policies,as well as the level of urbanization.
