The study was conducted on the effect of 2 kinds of restoring measure, planting forage(PF),natural regradation(NR) to the quality of soil in eroded Camelia oleifera forest in subtropical region of Fujian Province,China. The results show that layer A enjoy the best at contents of soil available nutrient, organic matter, and degree of soil organo-mineral complexing, second by layer B,worst by layer C.But,at content of soil complexes, the trend is layer C>layer B>layer A.When humus of combined types of soil was tested,it seems that humus could be transferred from tightly-combined type to loosely-combined type on deeper soil layer. In plant forage plot, ratio of types between loosely-combined and tightly-combined were decreased 0.149,0.458 on soil of layer B and C,compared with layer A.In NR plot, the ratio was decreased 0.292 on soil of layer C,compared with layer A.as analyzing on restoration effect of difference measure,it seems that humus transformation rate from tightly-combined type to loosely-combined type is slower in PF plot.No difference was found on key index, including available nutrient, carbon content of heavy soil on soil of 2 restoring plot, although organic matter content was lower in PF plot than in NR plot.
