Abstract:: Through a comprehensive investigation and analysis of the status and types of the environmental damage in the nation’s largest coal mine production area Shanxi province,it indicates that coal mining cause many environmental problems and serious hazard in Shanxi province.Also the cause is analyzed with specific examples.On the basis of full investigation,the ecological restoration strategies are recommended at actual policy and technical levels in Shanxi province.
