Abstract:: With the government and academia focusing attention upon land carrying capacity increasingly, there are many research methods of land carrying capacity in China.The paper reviews the research course of land carrying capacity, evaluates the advantages and shortcomings of different methods, puts forward the research of land carrying capacity is not only cultivated land resources, but also agricultural land resources and urban land in the future, namely, the general carrying capacity of the land which is under the protection of ecosystem health, the carrying scale of population and economy in the definite period and region.
