Through implementing comprehensive control of desertification experiment in Shazhuyu township of Gonghe County, the afforestation and the different sand barrier are used in the high and cold arid wilderness area, simultaneously used the water retention agent measure to carry on the experiment.The result indicated that, the deep afforestation seedling, the survival rate reaches as high as 91.7%, compared to the convention, the survival rate increased by 29.2%.But in the sand barrier type the standard shape type sand barrier form enhances survival rate 30%~56% compared to the determinant sand barrier form, and the clay standard shape type 1.5 m×2 m sand barrier in second year in different habitat area vegetation degree of cover achieves 65%~70%.The shape type clay sand barrier and deep afforestation is the most important measure which restores wilderness area vegetation.
