The complex Morlet wavelet was applied to analyze the multi-time scale and abrupt characters of Panlong River of Yunnan Province, the results show:The suspended sediment flux has raised since 1951 and existed multi-time scale character; There are 3 time scales in the suspended sediment flux time series, 4 years, 7 years and 22 years, and the time-scale-22-year is very strong; When take the zeros point that near the mainly period to analyze the abrupt point, we can come to the conclusion that there are 27 times in the 4-year period scale, 16 times in the 7-year period scale and 5 times in the 22-year period scale.
