Based on the observations and analysis on average wind velocity, sand deposit and soil nutrient of woodland at multi-position of three types of artificial vegetation, including apricot orchard, forest belt and patch forest, and analyzing the difference in benefit of wind prevention, sand resistance and soil improvement among the three types of artificial vegetation, the result shows: (1) Patch forest has the most effective function of wind prevention in 1H-10H from windward side, with the protective ratio of 25.6%; apricot orchard has the most effective function of wind prevention in 1H-7H from windward side, with the protective ratio of 70.0%; forest belt has the effective function of wind prevention in 1H-20H from leeward side, with the protective ratio of 32.3%. (2) The order of the three type of artificial vegetation on sand resistance is forest belt
