Abstract:: The ecosystem of Ningxia Municipality is investigated for object.Based on the characteristics and regulations of ecological service function,ecology property,ecology sensitivity and the intimidation from human activity into ecological environment,the principle and index system of forestry eco-environmental construction divisions of Ningxia Municipality is established,dividing the region into three first-class forest ecological construction:the Hetao Plain in Yellow River(Ⅰ),loess mound gutters region(Ⅱ),desertification region(Ⅲ);six forest ecological const ruction subregions:forest for the conservation of head-waters subregion in the Helan Mount(Ⅰ₁),plain farmland shelter-forest in Ningxia province(Ⅰ₂),loess-fix mound gutters water and soil conservation forest subregion in West Sea(Ⅱ₁),forest for the conservation of headwaters subregion in Liupan mountain and its periphery(Ⅱ₂),wind-break and sand-fix forest subregion in Maowusu Sandlot(Ⅲ₁),droughty steppe shelter-forest sub-region in Yanchi and Tongxin Shiangshan(Ⅲ₂),and estimated synthetically every division.
