- Abstract:
- The wetland in the Poyang Lake area is the largest fresh water lake wetland in China, and its wetland is about 2 698 km2 in area. It is one of the districts which have very rich biological resources. However, owing to man’s unreasonable utilization for a long time, the wetlands have changed a great deal in area and landscape structure, the ecological function was seriously affected and menaced, biodiversity rapidly reduced. The situation of wetland biodiversity in the Poyang Lake area and the threatening of wetland biodiversity is facing are analyzed, and then the main countermeasures of conservation and sustainable utilization for biodiversity of the Poyang Lake area are put forward.
