Taking Chanba Ecological Region as an example, the follows are narrated detailedly, how to collect data, how to manage and analyze data, and then compute the submersed range and areas in different return period and draw the map based on ArcView and ArcInfo. Then, the submersed complexion of this region is analyzed. It offered foundation for correlative departments’ taking action and also provided references for the constructing of Chanba Ecological Region.
