- Abstract:
- Based on remote sensing images, the land use and land cover change of the main districts of Chongqing from 1961 to 2003 was discussed.The images include the present conditions of land use in 1961 and 1981, Landsat TM data in 1993, 2000 and 2003.Based on the spatial analysis techniques supported by ArcGIS software and other statistical methods, the authors analyzed the spatial-time change characteristics of land use in this region, revealed the major patterns and trends of land use and land cover change, and discussed the change characteristics of land use over time.
