The effect of hedgerow and K application on land productivity on sloping lands are studied by using energy analysis. The result shows that cropping system of "hedgerow+contour cultivation" reduces soil and water losses by 66.0%, while output energy, total input energy, organic input energy and efficiency of light energy utilization of system increases (17.0%), 50.0%, 117.6% and 17.6%, respectively. The energy input-output ratio of cropping system increases 16.1%.During the middle and later growing stage, the leaf area of groundnut and sweet potato increases 3.8% and 10.2%, respectively.Potassium application based on alley cropping improves the growth of crops, the leaf area of two crops increases 6.3% and 22.4%, respectively, and value 38.3%, net return 46.6%, inputoutput ratio 20.9%, labor productivity 20.3%.Therefore, there is significant positive interaction between alley cropping system and potassium fertilization.
