The west to east gas transportation pipe engineering is one of the four important programs of our country during the 10th Five Years Plan period. The fifth segment, which passes through six counties and two provinces from west to east, is 391.9 km in length.Along the west-to-east gastransportation pipe engineering, the physiognomy is very complex. There are many railways, highways, aqueducts and rivers that can result in serious influence such as the loss of soil and water on the environment.Measures must be taken to protect the natural environment in order to prevent the loss of soil and water, to improve the environmental quality and to ensure the normal running of the gas pipe.
